Mission Accomplished
After hiking or should I say scrambling up the Boulder Creek Trail, we finally reached the Boulder Creek Lakes and amazing views of Sawtooth Peak.

Lower Canyon Creek Lake
Taken from the south end of the lower of the two Canyon Creek Lakes. Up over that next ridge is the upper lake.

From here I can see half of the Four Lakes Loop. Deer Lake is in the bowl to the left of Mt. Silago (center). Luelle Lake is in the bowl to the right of Mt. Silago. The other half is on the other side of those ridges.

Luelle Lake and Granite Pass
Almost back to where we first started the Four Lakes Loop down in Upper Deer Valley. We just climbed the last ridge of the loop on our way from Diamond Lake and now are looking down on Luelle Lake, Deer Valley, and across the canyon is Granite Pass where we are headed.
Meadow Glow
A beautiful meadow just outside of Diamond Lake along the Four Lakes Loop. You'll notice the peak and ridge at the end of the meadow and below that is Diamond Lake.
Diamond Lake
Diamond Lake is one of the most beautiful infinity lakes I have hiked to. Once you hike to lake level it is really cool. I'd love to stay here next time and go for a swim.
Diamond Lake at Sunrise
Hiking the Four Lakes Loop from Summit Lake to Diamond Lake left us with spectacular views of the Stuart Fork Canyon and the heart of the Trinity Alps.
Upper Deer Valley
After dropping down into the valley below Deer Pass, Deer Lake, and Silago Peak you are treated with beautiful views of the contrasting geology above you.
Watch Your Step
With such beautiful views of the heart of the Trinity Alps it's hard to forget you're walking along loose rock on the side of a mountain. Make sure to watch your step and take time to enjoy the views.
Mt Silago and the Four Lakes Loop
Some beautiful exposed trail between the Four Lakes Loop and Bear Basin made for some great views of our next 2 days of hiking.
A Magical Ascent
The lush meadows gave way to shoulder high vegetation on the last bit of trail before the pass. One of the most beautiful sections of uphill I've ever hiked. Josh is lost in the beauty.
Upper Bear Basin Meadows and Seven Up Peak
Right before ascending Bear Basin to the junction that would take us to the Four Lakes Loop, we encountered some beautiful meadows that were made even more interesting by the haze from some local fires.
Last light on the Sawtooths and Morris Meadow
Morris Meadow is quite a beautiful location despite the crowds. A great place to base camp and then day hike higher up the canyon.
